Bel alezan cruzado Arabe-Lusitanien, Salvo n'avait pas manqué de frapper le cœur d'une cavalière horse-ball de haut niveau. Elle s'est fait avoir car son cheval talentueux et grand sportif s'est avéré handicapé du fait d'un problème osseux bien dissimulé par dopage.
Quand Céline s'en est aperçue, les dégâts étaient irréparables. Mais elle aimait son Salvo et ne voulait pas le laisser tomber. d'autant que cela aurait signifié sa mort. Après une année entière de soins cliniques sans qu'il n'y ait un espoir de guérison, elle a préféré confier Salvo à notre association pour qu'une vie pieds nus puisse lui redonner un espoir de mieux-être.
Avant de rencontrer Céline, Salvo a connu son lot de mauvais traitements. La cruauté humaine l'a rendu à tout jamais méfiant même s'il a appris à nous faire confiance. Aujourd'hui, Salvo est bien dans sa peau. Il ne boite que rarement sans que cela ne gène sa vie de papy heureux. Une vie de retraité où il est chouchouté, bien soigné et où il passe ses jours en harmonie avec sa jument, l'amour de sa vie.
Si dans le troupeau il avait lié amitié avec Gärpur, dès son arrivée il est tombé amoureux d'une belle brune : sa chérie Olympe. Depuis, ils sont ensemble et le resteront ...

The deep look of this handsome chestnut gelding, a lusitano-arab-halfblood, had caught the attention of a horse-ball rider looking for her future champion. She got badly cheated because her very talented and highly performant new horse turned out to be handicaped due to an injury that had been hidden by perfect doping.
Céline loved her Salvo and would not let him down, the issue would have been fatal. After one year of clinic surgery and without any hope for him to recover sufficiently, she preferred to entrust him to the care of our association and give him another chance through a therapy based on natural hoof-trimming.
Before having the chance of meeting Céline, Salvo had suffered severe ill-treatments. Human cruelty has made him forever suspicious although he has learnt that he can trust us. Today, all this is far away from his peaceful retired life that consists of being cherished, well looked after and spend his days in harmony with his horse-love Olympe. He visibly feels great. He rarely lames and when he does that does not seem to affect his life.
After a period of friendship with Gärpur and Gyr Khan, he had made friends with Olympe and become very close to her. Since 2020, they are permanently together and have become a pair.
