Taranis
Un cheval de cœur
Quand Gaya, jument bien-aimée de Tina, portait Taranis de Marinero, elle a été victime d'une fracture à l'épaule. Tina l'a installée en hospitalisation vétérinaire à domicile avec un système de soutien-suspension, a déménagé son bureau et son lit à l'écurie pour être à côté de sa jument-chérie et afin de pouvoir s'en occuper jour et nuit. Il n'est pas étonnant que lorsqu'il est né, Taranis et Tina soient, eux aussi, liés pour la vie.
Malheureusement, de grands problèmes de santé ont obligé Tina de vendre sa ferme. Nous avons alors accueilli Gaya et Taranis. Depuis, Gaya atteinte d'un cancer nous a quittés. Taranis est un de nos chouchous chéris et ami de tous les enfants, un excellent cheval de thérapie et de formation.
Au départ, Taranis s'était lié d'amitié avec son demi-frère Vildiur et a travaillé pendant quelques saisons à ses côtés à Hourtin-Plage comme cheval de surveillance de la forêt avec des garde-forestiers patrouilleurs de l'ONF. Il a maintenant laissé sa place à ses demi-sœurs plus jeunes que lui, Uva et Altaïr, et a trouvé à la ferme forestière de Louley un nouveau copain, Fuego.
Taranis, qui est et reste la merveille des merveilles de Tina. Entre ses déplacements dans le monde entier dans le cadre de son activité professionnelle, Tina vient passer autant de temps qu'elle peut à Hourtin pour y retrouver son Taranis.
Tina's heart horse
Taranis' mother Gaya had been taken to Germany, to the farm of Tina who loved her. While carrying her foal from Marinero, she suffered a fracture of the shoulder. Tina did not give her up but organised home surgery with a special stabilising device, installed her office and bed next to Gaya's stall and lovingly cared for her night and day. No wonder that she and the foal, once he was born, had a very special relationship from the very beginning and are bound by love for life.
Unfortunately, some years later, severe health problems forced Tina to sell her farm and seperate from her horses. So she brought Gaya back to us to France together with Taranis. Gaya had cancer and left us. Taranis is the cherished friend of all children and horse-lovers and he is a wonderful teaching and therapy horse.
In the beginning, Taranis made friends with his half-brother Vildiur and spent a couple of years as forest patrol horse in Hourtin-Plage with the state forest police. He has now let his younger half-sisters Uva and Altaïr take his place and has found with Fuego a new friend in the horse-forest of Louley.
Taranis is and will always be Tinas wonder of wonders, marvel of marvels. Whenever her professional activities all over the world allow her to take some time off, she comes to Hourtin to spend whatever time she can afford, with her beloved heart horse Taranis.
